Intermediate German
Course Description
Intermediate German is an introduction to German thought and culture. This course stresses reading, speaking, writing, and a review of grammar. Readings will consist of short stories by German and Austrian writers from the 20th-century, Grimm's fairy tales, poetry, newspaper articles, and German sources on the Internet. Video tapes and audio cassettes will be used to further listening comprehension. Weekly sessions with the German assistant will supplement the class work.
