Class Project: Early Reader Book Reviews
First draft due on Monday the 18th of October, 2004
As a class project we will jointly prepare a web site that reviews children's books that are especially useful for the development of early literacy. Choose one picture book that you consider as a particularly fine example of the genre. Write a review essay of the book, paying close attention to its pedagogical usefulness. The 'class paper length' estimate that I gave in class (5-7 pages) is probably too ambitious, but do produce a paper that is as detailed and multifaceted as possible.
Here are a few suggestions for interesting books, but don't feel limited by them in any way.
