Henry Smith's Home Page - A Columbia University professor's Japanese Resource page, full of informative and interesting links on various topics.
Wikipedia: Kanji - Provides a useful overview of kanji, with some fairly detailed explanations about categories, readings, etc.
Wikipedia: Joyo Kanji - Provides the complete list of jouyou kanji and lets you click on each individual kanji for more information, e.g. radicals, number of strokes, on and kun readings, Chinese and Korean readings, basic meanings, etc. (but no QuickTime movie, unfortunately).
Gahoh - The Gahoh home page. There are various useful resources here, including entries for most (?) of the jouyou kanji giving meanings, pronunciations, and (in many but not all cases) a QuickTime movie showing how to draw the kanji.
The Joyo Kanji - Has clickable links to movies for SOME kanji, but not others.
wwkanji 2056 opening page - Provides a QuickTime movie showing how to draw each jouyou kanji with a brush.
