THIS IS OUR OLD SITE. Thanks so much for visiting. Lumina now lives at www.slclumina.wordpress.com. You can check out this site for archives, but to submit, please visit the new site. Thank you very much! Please contact lumina@gm.slc.edu with any questions.
LUMINA, the annual literary journal of the Sarah Lawrence College graduate program in writing, aims to provide readers with an eclectic but cohesive collection of fiction, nonfiction, and poetry. Our entirely student-run publication accepts submissions regardless of age, nationality, or school affiliation, giving emerging poets and writers a space in which to share their work alongside established talents in the field.
Over the past few years we have featured work by Rick Moody, Amy Hempel, Thomas Lux, Billy Collins, Stephen Dobyns, Phillip Lopate, Sloane Crosley, Steve Almond, Ben Greenman, and many others. We are always on the lookout for new and undiscovered talent. In addition to standard submissions and contributions, LUMINA features an annual contest; the 2011 contest genre will be nonfiction. We encourage all writers to submit their work and we look forward to reading it.
LUMINA is published each April, in conjunction with the Sarah Lawrence College Poetry Festival.
