H: Drive Access for Mac OS X
To map a network drive in Mac OS X:
- In the Finder, choose Go->Connect to Server
- In the address bar, type:
smb://slc3/ - Click the Connect button
- In the Workgroup/Domain field, enter
academic - Enter your SLC network username and password
- Optionally, select Add to Keychain to remember your password next time.
- Click OK.
A drive will appear on the desktop. Remember to eject the drive (by dragging it to the trash) when you are done, especially on public computers.
You can create an alias to this drive for quick access (File->Make Alias).
