Navigating to Your Courses
There are two ways to navigate to your courses.
Method One
The first method is through your sidebar. Under the header 'My Courses' you will see a list of your courses, sorted by course number. Clicking on any of these will bring you to that course's section in the LMS.
Method Two
The second method to navigate to your courses is through the Course Search portlet. Click on the Academics tab at the top of your screen and you will see the main Academics page. At the bottom of the page you will see the Course Search portlet.
Fill any in the search criteria, such as your last name or part of the course title, and click 'Search.'
This will bring up a list of courses that match your search criteria:
Click the name of the course you'd like to view to go to its course page:
The Course Page
The Course Page shows you general information about the current course, and allows you to find, add, and edit information pertaining to the course. For example, in the screenshot above, there is an empty portlet titled “Course Syllabus”. To create content (in this case, a syllabus) for this portlet, all you have to do is click on “Create Content”.
Other editable information is available on other pages. The easiest way to navigate to those other pages is by clicking the relevant links located on the sidebar.
The Sidebar
The sidebar allows you quick access to the features of the LMS. The page you are currently on is bolded, and the page's currently visible portlets are listed in italics beneath the bold text.
From the sidebar, you can also add a new page or navigate to other pages relevant to the current course, or you can view the main page of another one of your courses.
Breadcrumb Navigation
The breadcrumb navigation bar allows you to quickly jump to any page in the hierarchy. Clicking on any one of the links will take you directly to that page.
